Online tool to calculate Lux exposure levels for exhibitions and displays
This Lux allowance calculator is used to check the calculated light exposure (in lux hours) for an object or group of objects for a selected period of display. This is based on three parameters:

  • Input: The tool requires the dates of a defined period, the opening hours, object type and related set-points and limits. These values are selected from drop-down lists and free text.
  • Output: The tool calculates the number of Lux Hours required for a particular exhibition or display period, depending on the selected parameters. It also highlights any remaining lux allowance and or the need for dark storage to offset excessive exposure.
